My blogs will generally focus on Indian Political, Religious, Social, Cultural and Ethical Issues that Unites and Divides the Great Secular, Democratic, and the most Tolerant Republic of India.
To start this we must know about the great past of this country which gave the people the First elected ruler, First Republican State, the Spiritual Practice of Yoga, the path of Salvation, unmatched, unprecedented spirit of religious Tolerance and a cultural diversity that cannot be matched and outpaced by any other country in the world.
Currently India measures 3,214 km (1,997 mi) from north to south and 2,933 km (1,822 mi) from east to west but this is just a number. The Indian Culture varies from merely 100 to 200 Km from any point of the Indian Peninsula. India is a country where people have always cherished and welcomed a change. Indians are the most tolerant people from ancient time. India is probably on the list of very few countries who haven’t waged a war on other country and have followed the Spiritual Path of “Ahimsa” (non-violence), peace, prosperity and unfathomable spirit of valor to defend what’s righteous for a nation to prosper.
The Golden Bird during the time of Mauryan and Gupta Empire had achieved various accolades in the field of cavalry, military, gold, spiritual thinking, one of the oldest language in the world the ancient Harappa Civilization the birth of astronomy, contribution in the field of Number System, Science and technology beautiful art and culture and the architectural brilliance of Jagganath Temple and Taj Mahal one of the seven wonders of the world. The valor of the Indians were also recognized by “Alexander The Great” whose victory run hit a snag after reaching the Great Himalayas and looking at the powerful Nanda dynasty and their military Strength he was forced to make cordial relationship with Indians.
India was one of the Country that was looked upon people travelled from various parts of the world to gain knowledge and wisdom. It became a place which followed the policy of “Athithi Devo Bhava” (all guests are welcomed upon as gods in the country) hence many who came fell in love with India and Stayed. India was one of the most advanced country which existed during the Ancient and Medieval history of the world. The very existence of Philosophy has its roots from India, The Ethical teachings of Bhagwat Geeta, The Epic Mahabharata, and the art of making love in the form of “Kamasutra” were all written in between 400 B.C.E to 300 C.E. The Vedas were remembered as hymns and songs long before any text ever existed going back to 2000 B.C.E during Neolithic and Mesolithic age.
This is just a small gist which I can cover in my first blog with a question for everyone that “A country which was so advanced, spiritual and so powerful in the past today suffers from the disease of poverty, unemployment, lack of technological advancement, lack of creating advancement in its own firepower, dependency on other countries, loans, conflicts, division, the country which gave the world Kamasutra has an upward curve of sexually starved male and female ratio, not to mention the corruption from lowest to highest level” What happened to the well advanced country of the past to call itself today as an underdeveloped/developing nation, what changed or rather who changed? Isn’t it the people’s responsibility now to start a revolution for a change or have we become too complacent enough calling ourselves a developing nation, and admiring the numbers to satisfy ourselves that we had a glorious history and wealth undermining the current disease which has become cancerous to this nation isn’t it our responsibility to cleanse off the dirt, unite and fight against the disease spreading throughout the country than fighting amongst ourselves for cast, creed, religion, wealth and for superiority amongst family and friends.
